Drifting Floor
installation+continuous performance by Ingrid Simon and Sébastien
Monnoye (BE) with dancers Milton Paulo and Mathilde Laroque
Drifting floor is an installation/an interactive space for chameleon dancers, whose bodies are used as projection screens. While wearing a video image on their bodies, the dancers become mimetically one with the floor. In that way a vulnerable species can imitate an environmental element in order to protect itself against predators or facilitate the contact with lookalikes.
A male and a female dancer present, through a personal improvisation, their own interpretation of the space.

Techniques: Max/MSP/Jitter, IR spotlight + camera
