Gaël Bertrand & Matthieu Bogaert: Cognito 2.0.

7 April - 16 April 2014
Gaël Bertrand & Matthieu Bogaert: Cognito 2.0.

Cognito 2.0 is an interactive installation allowing visitors to fall into the mysterious world of a slightly shy robot examining and interpreting our reality. More than just a robot or installation, it is an exploration in our senses, their interpretation and the meaning of reality.

"Reality is a projection of the mind; Cognito 2.0 is a robot projecting its own reality."

The residency of Matthieu and Gaël will finish with an exhibition at iMAL. The opening will take place on Thursday 17th of April and the exhibition will be open on 19th and 20th of April, 14:00-18:00.

About Matthieu Bogaert and Gaël Bertrand

Matthieu Bogaert and Gaël Bertrand work on digital installations showing the links and connections between the tangible and the intangible, reality and its interpretation through processes linking up the analogical and the digital, the concrete and the abstract, the individual and the collective. Their aim is to give "interpretation" a central place in their work by approaching and studying the link between physical interactions and the digital interpretation.
