Julien Maire @ Croisements Festival, Beijing
During the Croisements Festival in Beijing (15/04-30/05/2015), Julien Maire is invited to complete a residency at the Institute for Provocation, to continue his research in China into what he calls "cinema in relief", a method of projecting images, printed in volume, that he started to develop for his "Relief" exhibition produced and shown at iMAL in 2014.
During his residency, Julien will give 3 workshops at IFP (3D print and cinema, Persistence and Vision, Machine Hacking) using 3D printing technologies and mechatronics.
Croisements Festival, built on the initiative of the President of the French Republic and the President of the People's Republic of China in 2006, has become "the largest French cultural festival abroad and the largest foreign cultural festival in China".
The project is supported by Wallonie Brussels International, Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre/Danse and FormLabs.
