2012

In 2012, iMAL, Center for Digital Cultures and Technology, will open the first Brussels-based creative FabLab. A Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop offering digital fabrication.

Jo Caimo - Rode Oortjes Meter
2014

The SEBCTool (Social Excitement Behavior Communication Tool) is a device used to measure an emotional state. The ear-clip changes color when a temperature change is detected due to excitement. Jo Claimos' project is a social experiment raising questions about new communication tools and social interactions.

D.W.I - Clones: Felix Luque
2013 - 2014

Different Ways to Infinity is an installation that gathers experiments in geometry and physics, as fictional strategies to generate infinity. During his residency, Felix will develop the third and last part of the work, the Clones as two Inverted Pendulums.

2013

Etienne's work combines origami, art & technologies. During his summer residency at iMAL and FabLab.iMAL, he explored the art of walkalong gliders. The exhibtion presents his results and proposes a DIY atelier and a playground where your plane will fly with your energy.

Chris Sugrue: Memory of Form and Matter
2013

Memory of Form and Matter is a sculpture series exploring hybrid digital-physical forms. It combines algorithmically generated structures with digital simulations and animation.

Val Macé & David Chazam: Ployboy
2013 - 2014

Val Macé came last summer to work in residency at FabLab.iMAL. He created new type of instruments using old common objects and augmented them with pieces he produced in the FabLab.

FabLab Summer Break

This summer, FabLab.iMAL will be closed between July 2nd and 29th. We’ll be open again for our members on Monday July 30th, from 18:30 on.

Cet été, FabLab.iMAL sera fermé du 2 au 29 juillet. Nous réouvrirons pour nos membres à partir du lundi 30 juillet, à partir de 18:30.
