Studio With A View: the designers at FabLab.iMAL
14 July - 5 September 2013
Studio With A View is an artist collective based in Brussels. The designers Damien Gernay, Julien Carretero and Charlotte Dumoncel d'Argence have been invited to work at FabLab.iMAL to explore the possibilities of digital fabrication technologies. The results of their experimentations will be shown during the MAD(E) IN BRUSSELS exhibition at MAD, in the framework of Design September 2013 (opening night on September 5th).
Their work aims to promote the technical and technological potential of the FabLab.iMAL machines. The designers chose to work around the concept of production tools, with the aim to highlight the possibilities of such new creative lab. In this way, the unique object made through digital fabrication means emancipates itself from its prototype status to become the base of a serial production.
