Ben je een kunstenaar, ontwerper, ingenieur of ontwikkelaar en wil je graag gebruikmaken van onze digitale machines om een nieuw creatief project te ontwikkelen? Dan is een residentie in het Fablab.iMAL misschien wel interessant voor jou!

Onze residenties van max. 4 weken vinden uitsluitend plaats in het Fablab. Ze zijn bedoeld ter ondersteuning van originele voorstellen voor onderzoek en experiment: prototypes, modellen, nieuwe materialen, enz.

Wij bieden gratis toegang tot onze machines en onze opleidingen, evenals een terugbetaling van de productiekosten (bv. materialen, componenten, ....) tot max. 400 € (op basis van facturen).

Wij vragen de resident om zijn/haar werk op Wikimal te documenteren en het resultaat tentoon te stellen in het Fablab.

Voorwaarden:
De resident beschikt over een eigen computer en basiskennis in vector gebaseerd tekenen en/of 3D. De resident zal worden opgeleid in het gebruik van de machines en de CAM-softwares die eraan verbonden zijn.

City Lights Orchestra Device (CLOD)

Du 17 au 22 septembre, iMAL accueillait en résidence Antoine Schmitt, Damien Gernay et Reso-nance Numérique (Marseille) pour travailler sur leur projet City Lights Orchestra Device (CLOD).

 

MOVIOLA

From March 6 until March 24 2017 Marcio Ambrisio is in residency at iMAL, where he will work together with Yacine Sebti on his interactive installation 'MOVIOLA'.

Tobias Sternberg
2016

iMAL invited Tobias Sternberg, a Swedish artist living in Berlin, for a short research residency in July to experiment with digital fabrication. 

DIRECT OUT
2015

From the beginning of July to the end of August 2015 Yann Leguay is in residency at iMAL, where he develops the DIRECT OUT project for the Mulhouse Music Festival (Festival Météo). 

The invisible landscape
2015

Van 19 april t/m 3 mei 2015 zijn beeldende kunstenares Christelle Fillod en geluidskunstenaar Fabrice Moinet in residentie in iMAL. Ze werken er aan hun nieuwe installatie "The invisible landscape".

Julien Maire - Formal Fiction
2014 - 2015

De voorbije maanden was Julien Maire in residentie bij iMAL en werkte hij er verder aan 'Man at Work', een werk gemaakt nav de tentoonstelling 'Reliëf' bij iMAL in september vorig jaar. Het resultaat draagt de titel 'Formal Fiction' en zal in het voorjaar van 2015 te zien zijn op diverse festivals (Festival VIA 2015 in Mons , Exit Festival in Créteil , ... ).

Ivan Liu - Between Universes: The Past is My Present to Your Future
2014

In this work resulting from his residency at iMAL, new media and technology artist Ivan C. H. Liu explores the notion that love is so profound that it changes the world for a person in love or losing love. In collaboration with dancer/choreographer Julie Magneville, they combine the body movements, the theater and interactive installations together to experiment a new way of storytelling.

Jo Caimo - Rode Oortjes Meter
2014

The SEBCTool (Social Excitement Behavior Communication Tool) is a device used to measure an emotional state. The ear-clip changes color when a temperature change is detected due to excitement. Jo Claimos' project is a social experiment raising questions about new communication tools and social interactions. 

D.W.I - Clones: Felix Luque
2013 - 2014

Different Ways to Infinity is an installation that gathers experiments in geometry and physics, as fictional strategies to generate infinity. During his residency, Felix will develop the third and last part of the work, the Clones as two Inverted Pendulums.
